During their eight-day visit, these philanthropists endeavored to provide comfort to the children of the orphanages and offer them the care and support that has been tragically absent in the children’s lives. This event-filled program hosted all 280 children from both orphanages and allowed them to receive individual Easter gifts from their adoptive parents, followed by trips to the botanical garden, the market for shopping for basic necessities for the children, and on the final day, 100 children from both orphanages were taken on an excursion to visit the old historical site of Orheiul Vechi. This experience also proved to be life touching for the Italian parents - while it is one thing to support the orphaned children at a distance, it is another, much more significant thing to be able to meet and interact with the children in person. By the program’s end, everybody - children, parents, and all of those who have provided their support in the successful execution of this project were able to find gratitude and satisfaction not only in the work put into ensuring the program’s outcome, but in the success of the use of international cooperation to resolve societal problems and through this begin to build a more peaceful and prosperous society.
