Summer Camp 2006

This was the first stage of the project: 
„Zero HIV-AIDS transmision life style”
At the beginning of the summer school, we had special guests. Ms. Stamatin Otilia (Peace Ambassador, Doctor in Psychology, Chief of Cathedra of applied Psychology from the Pedagogical State University ”Ion Creanga”, and Director of Republican Movement Teachers for Peace and Mutual Understanding.
Another special guest who greeted all the participants, teachers and volunteers was Mr. Ronald Koonce, Director of Moldova branch of International Education Foundation. 
Summer school agenda included following simultaneous workshops:
1. Parents meetings for enhancing children moral education and behavior. (Conducted by Ms. Reabikov Zinaida).
2. How to organize activities for HIV-AIDS prevention. (conducted by Iulia Sîrghi)
3. Knowing your self – key for happiness and success.( conducted by Ms. Eugenia Apărece)
4. Positive thinking and family values. (conducted by Tatiana Andrieş)
5. Culture of love and friendship for teens. (conducted by Calestru Mihai)
6. How to organize a school radio, and tips for public speech. (conducted by Veleşcu Andrei & Ana Bostan)
At the camp we organized special schedule for the teachers. 
Mrs. Reabikov offered precious guidelines for parents meetings, methodological lessons for other teachers and how to enhance the effectiveness of homeless hours using. 
The agenda of 4 days advanced workshop, for teachers included following topics: Unconditional Love, Discipline and punishment, Parents role in education of children, Particularities of teenagers’ development, How to develop self-confidence, How to deal with anger, Sexual education, family education, Cause and resolution of the conflicts. The workshop on the theme “How to organize activities for HIV-AIDS prevention” was conducted by Iulia Sîrghi. She explained the tips for good HIV-AIDS Prevention training, Communication tips, Evaluation and monitoring of the prevention programs, How to prepare good report. The presentation was combined very well with games, energizers and exercises. Evaluating the reflections after the summer school most of the participants understood the danger of HIV-AIDS and other STD. Very efficient tool was 12 minutes video spot made by IRFF-Moldoa, about AIDS problem in Moldova. 
Another workshop leads by Aparece Eugenia. She is very persistent and persuasive teacher in the activities, held not only for pupils, but also for their parents. She is very active in Cahul region (South of Moldova) trough sharing her teaching experience with other psychologists on the regional level. The theme she approached was:” How to know your self?” She offered to each participant a possibility to discover his own strength and weaknesses trough interactive and proactive psychological tests. Majority of students appreciated very much her openness, sincerity and understanding toward every student. 
Teenagers are very sensitive to issues of self-esteem. They appreciated her advises and personal comments. Students understood trough this workshop what are their potentials and the ways how the big change in the world could start with in each and every heart and conscience. 
Next workshop were all participants were invited was dedicated to topic of „Positive Thinking and Family values” Lead by Tatiana Andriesh. Many students mentioned in their own reflections the deep and clear understanding they had after the discussion and exercises on the family values. This workshop provided many exercises and case studies where pupils had chance to share their insights. And listen to the moderator advises of how to prepare from now for a successful future marriage and family.
Final workshop attended by all the students was approaching the issues of Culture of Love and Friendship for Teenagers. The questions brought up were based on Advantages of Sexual Integrity, Rules of Pure and Respectful Friendship, also the culture of efficient communication and creative way to say „No!” and keep and develop healthy friendship relationship. The end of the workshop all students were invited to give lecture-practice presentation on the same topic. 
Every day one student from every village attending the workshop was invited to additional training on Radio journalism and Public speeches. Every evening and morning was presenting a radio news program prepared by them.
Most challenging and unifying activity for student were sport competitions and team building.
Many students were deeply moved by evening programs and preparations for it, were they had chance to express themselves and feel unity in the teams. 
The major role in the successful summer school was played by the group leaders-students who were helping pupils to build good team trough changing their own characters and attitudes. Every volunteer was taking care of 5-6 pupils discussing their impressions after each day of the program and participating next to them in all the program activities.
The summer school finalized with very high spirit and will of participants to participate active in the next stage of the project witch is to teach they hometown schools mates what they study during the camp.
