Report from Moral education in the Orphanage N.2 from Chişinău city, 2005-2006

In this matter in summer of 2005 those 6 beginners’ volunteers participate at the “Youth Change the World” summer camp, they take new knowledge and new working methods to start their activities in gymnasium witch begin with one informational seminar to find adepts in the surround of their colleagues. As the result of this informational seminar was chosen 9 purples boys and girls from 6 to 8 years of the school witch took new knowledge they too start to help in volunteer activities like peer educators. These peer educators have in objectives in free time of purples from 1-8 school year to organize different interesting activities with them, because most of children witch are not in some teams of interest group have a lot of free time witch they don’t know how to use correctly.
From volunteers reports of free time activities we find out that during the school year total in these activities participate more then 280 purples from our orphanage. In average they make their activities 30 minutes/day, sufficient time for children to keep them interested. Their activities are to organize different interactive games (energetically one) and activities (games from whom participants learn how to work in group-team work, to positively resolve conflicts witch appear in group, to develop patience ( taking care and how to love their colleagues, to get read of bad habits and to be more tolerance one toward another).
As elder group coordinator I give to children theoretical information, how to practice activities to make easy their work with their mates, also volunteers receive a very comfortable auditorium where to have their evaluation meetings of group activities and all needed materials for project implementation.
At the end of 2005 year our team participates in the republican level project “ABC model to prevent HIV/AIDS” organized by A.F. IRFF ONLUS and at the posters contest we took second place.
At the beginning of 2006 a group of 8 purples 4 boys and 4 girls was instructed by as about conflict resolution in school.
Also about new methods of teaching in school we instructed educators from 1-9 school years also we ask them to help volunteers to do their activities in the school. After this instructions new formed group start to implement a new project to make a wall newspaper to inform children about their activities and school life. Appearance of volunteers in the school begins a big interest not only from children but also from teachers.
Volunteers activities in Orphanage N.2 was prolonged during the summer because they build a very good team witch they did activities in orphanage summer camp and also with their mates at their living places, because volunteers understand the importance of their work and feel that they should continue this work.
To make a evaluation of volunteers work in Orphanage N.2 we would like to mention that N. of volunteers increase a lot (from 6 active members to 17 volunteers witch are doing different activities) N. of children witch participate in this activities was about 300 children in our school, we have great successes in equal to equal education and an big experience in conflict resolution.
From talking with children we find out that majority of them would like to continue these activities and also to do it in others schools by the volunteer work.
Elder group coordinator, Drozdova Iulia
